HUH???

OK, so last Friday I was waiting to speak to my doctor on base. I had both the girls with me in there stroller. A lady walks over to us and tells me how beautiful the girls are. Then she asked me the usual question...."Are they both yours". "Yes" I say. The next thing that came out of her mouth was something I hadn't heard yet . "Wow, there coloring, and eyes and hair are so extremely different from each other, complete opposites. That's really interesting." I just sat there speechless (which we all know is rare). I honestly didn't know if I should laugh or just ignore her. Finally though I just said "Yeah they are very different. We adopted my older daughter from Guatemala." She just smiled and said "Oh". Thank goodness after that the doctor came out to get me.
