Too Much TP = Flood

Wednesday night, after putting the girls to bed and getting Devon and his friend settled down with a movie, I stepped next door to grab something from my neighbor. Not even 30 seconds later the boys came running out of the house saying the bathroom was flooding.

"You've got to be kidding me", I thought. But, I wasn't too worried as long as it was "Just" in the bathroom!

Hahaha, yeah RIGHT........It was a complete FLOOD! Seriously, the toilet was running like a faucet, it had flooded the whole bathroom and was all down the hall, spreading into two of the bedrooms. I had no idea how to make the water stop. I hurried and called maintenance. Finally around 20 minutes into the mess, I called someone and was told how turn off the water. The maintenance people showed about 25 minutes from the time I called them. By then the water was completely in my bedroom and Devon's, along with the whole hallway and no kidding it was a good 2 1/2 - 3 inches deep.

It smelled, oh how it smelled. The maintenance guys left around 10pm, and now the girls have been awake along with the boys running all over the living room, jumping off the couches. They thought it was just a great big party, them being up soooo late. I did however get them back to bed and tried to watch TV for awhile and then go to bed. The water was gone but not the STANK.

Today the Prof. Carpet Cleaner Co. came out and cleaned the carpets. And the smell is GONE!!

Things like this always have to happen when husbands are gone! Corey is in Korea & Mainland Japan, while I am dealing with all this and now Devon is throwing up. Isn't life grand?!

Poor Amy! I'm so sorry. We had the same kind of thing happen. During choir practice one day Rylissa comes running out and she's soaked. I go in the back, and my toilet is running like a faucet, all down the hall, corbens room was ankle deep in water. I had to get rid of so many of his toys. It stinks big time!

I am so sorry to hear that! That seriously sucks! And you're right, these things only happen when the husbands are gone. What's up with that? :)

I know, it isn't fair that the guys ALWAYS miss out on things like this! The SAME thing happened to me last month and yes, Andrew was out of town as well!

of course cory is gone. at least the stink is gone, now if you can just make sure that everyone, including you, stays healthy until he returns.

Denver said it was a pretty eventful night and sleepover. I hope Devon is feeling better and had a good first day of school.
