The day after Thanksgiving, we got our christmas tree. Actually, I woke up at the butt crack of dawn to run down to one of the other bases here on island and got a real! tree. After I got the tree home, I did the standard, trimming of the tree and getting the lights on it. Every year, I take the lights out and test them. This year they tested good, only to not work as soon as I put them on the tree. What!!! So of course I took them off and then tested all of the lights again to find the bad light. I then proceeded to put the same lights back on the tree, and to my amazement not work again. "To heck with these lights!" I said and then proceeded to drive all over the island to find white christmas tree lights. I found some at 10pm at one of the shopettes on base and raced home only to get the lights on the tree by about midnight. Yes, it took me a good 9 hours to get lights on our tree. What a pain! Anyway the crew put some decorations on it. The kids did a pretty good job, I have to admit.

I love the story of how you got the Christmas tree! haha! You did a good job! The kids are growing up too fast! I miss you guys!
If my experience had been like that this year I probably would have thrown the tree out the backdoor. You should read the Addams blog about their tree. Holy Cow.
