A couple of weeks ago one of my bosses asked me to go to Macedonia for a conference. Of course I couldn't refuse the opportunity to serve my NATO friends so I quickly told them I would go. I got to go to Skopje which is a fairly large city towards the North Central part of the country. I was only there for a few days and the days that I was there I had to go to a conference but the last day or so I had off and I was able to do a little sight seeing. Unfortunately, the time that I had off it was raining and extremely cold out so I only ventured out for a few hours before calling it quits. Needless to say I didn't get many pictures. Oh well at least I can now say that I've been to the Republic of Macedonia or in some places FYROM (Former Yugoslavia Republic of Macedonia).

The Mother Teresa memorial church. She was born in Macedonia and there are several sites within the country that are dedicated to her.

The Church of Saint Clement. It seemed like an interesting building so I snapped a photo of it.

Looking at the Old Stone Bridge towards the Kale Fortress. Kale is equal to Castle as you may be able to tell. They're a dime a dozen around this part of the world.

Another picture with the entire bridge. There was a lot of construction in the main town square. It was pretty hard to get a good photo without all of the construction stuff.

From inside the castle looking towards the mountains. The day that I left these mountains were covered in snow. Like I said it was cold here.
