Izmir Turkey Residence

The last little while I've been busy with trying to find my way around Izmir Turkey. I was able to stay for about 3 weeks in a very nice hotel however the housing office here said I couldn't stay any longer so I had to go out and find an apartment to live in. There were several that they showed me, not all were what I called livable. I was able to find a couple to choose from and picked this one. It's a roomy 3.5 bedroom (the .5 now serves as my clothes dryer room) with the other 2 serving as a guest room (for those wishing to visit, and an office) and a 1.5 bathroom on the top floor of an apartment building. It is about 2300sq/ft, almost big enough for 1 person. Anyway the balcony is ok. It overlooks the water, Izmir bay. I get to watch all of the cruise ships and boats that come into port. We also have lots of water taxi's to get across the bay to the other side of Izmir. It comes in pretty handy for only about a buck. Beats a taxi anyday. Anyway the other day I decided to snap some photos of the sunset. This is just one of the many we have had in the past few weeks that I have lived here.

My apartment is the top floor where the arrow is pointing.

Water Taxi here in Izmir. It stops just about a 1/3 of a mile away from my apartment.

Sunset over the bay in Izmir. Pretty much everynight has been like this since I've moved into my apartment.

While I would hate all those stairs I think I'd rather be on the top floor. Better then having neighbors walk all over your ceiling. Turkey looks pretty good.
