The other night Izmir was supposed to get some much needed rain. Well we got plenty with some to spare. I was able to sit on my balcony and watch the storm come right up the Izmir Bay. It was pretty cool to see the lightening bolts strike the ground. I did some experimenting with my camera and caught some pictures of the storm.
The blurry line was the water taxi going across to Karsiyaka.
Roughly the same position just another instance of bolts hitting Karsiyaka.

I couldn't believe that I caught both bolts at the same time. Lucky. This was about midnight the other night.
