Columbus Riverwalk

Yesterday we decided to do a little Saturday outing and go enjoy a picnic in the blazing sun down by the river here in Columbus.  There wasn't much of a park but it was sure nice to get out with the kids and enjoy the outdoors.  We didn't know at the time but they had a huge rope swing the the kids wanted to go on immediately but we didn't pack the swim suits and towels.  Maybe next time though.  The kids enjoyed looking for fish and turtles who would poke their heads out of the water than disappear.  It sure is fun being home again with the kids.  Being away for a year, I sure missed getting to spend days like yesterday with them.


As usual though pictures were taken and posted below.  Enjoy.

 Kymbal looking at the birds nest the kids found near our picnic table.  As I took the picture I was wondering why the photo was kind of blurry and then I found out that I forgot to unlock the lens from being full open.  But it turned out nicer than I thought after I looked at it.

Ray with her new hair do.  She got it permed and has really enjoyed it.  It wasn't the typical over the top perm but a softer perm.  She wanted this done without Mom's pushing for it.  

Ray getting a much needed sip of her cherry juice.  Hence her lips were slightly more red than normal.  This had a blue-ish processing that made the picture turn out with a "dated" feel.

 Otis' kids.  The ragtag bunch actually let me sit them down and snap a quick photo.  Kymbal however was a pill and had to have a Coke to simmer her down!  The irony in that!  

 Looking at the river.  Not much to look at!  Brown and more brown.  They did find lots of turtles that would come up for air and that kept them entertained.

 Kymbal!  Pretty blue eyes I couldn't keep those out of the photo.

 Kymbal eating her new favorite cookie.  Ok they are my favorite cookie.  The vanilla Oreo cookies are so much better than the chocolate ones.  Kymbal has taken after the girls and goes straight for the good stuff and tosses the actual cookie aside.  

 Ray and the fountain.  It was hot out and the kids needed some H2O.  I'm not sure she got much down her gullet as her aim with her eyes closed was a little off, but it was fun taking her picture while she was trying.
