As promised, we said that we would post some photos of the kids in the Halloween costumes. This year we said that we were going to get everything ready to include carving the pumpkins a few days earlier and take pictures with the kids and their creations. Well we got so busy in Oct. that we didn't have time to carve pumpkins until the day prior and even that had to be fast.
We took the kids "Trick or Treating" on Columbus AFB, as there just isn't a lot of homes in the rural parts of Columbus that we live. At least there it provided a pretty safe environment and lots of homes for the kids to run to and get some candy.
This year Amy had it all planned out that we were going to put our kids up to a theme and each kids was going to play a part in that theme of Halloween. This year our theme was the girls were going to play Superhero's and Devon was going to play the bad guy. As we were purchasing the costumes Ray and Devon decided they didn't want to play their parts and went off script! Ray was a punk fairy and Devon wanted to be the scary bad guy from Scream. So I guess he was still a bad guy. Makenley and Kymbal stuck with the theme and played Supergirl and Batgirl. All of them looked very cute once they were done up.

Halloween
Cracking open the groud's. Of course one of the kids has to give the cheesy smile!
Hard at work.
Makenley cutting away her Casper the Ghost pumpkin.
Corey showing Devon how to use the pumpkin knife to cut out the mouth.
Kymbal just hanging out acting herself. That is some wild hair that kid has.
Ray with her punk fairy costume. This picture doesn't really show it but she has some makeup on that really made her costume pop!.
This was probably the scariest costume this boy has had. You can see the blood running down his face. He had a pump that would squirt blood down the face of his scream costume.
Never fear, the Batgirl is her. She looked soooo cute with her full costume on. She didn't like the mask and it came with some gloves and shoe stuff but she opted not to wear those items.
The other superhero of the night. Makenley and Kymbal pretty much saved the day with their costumes. Makenley also had makeup on that helped accentuate her costume.
We caught a snap shot of the batgirl without her mask on. This was early on in the night as she was able to carry her bag here. Later on she had to drag it which caused some wholes and a few candy bars missing. That could have also been from Amy and Corey stealing them from her!
Such a happy kid. This was after the night's festivities. The rest of the kids just wanted to go to bed but Kymbal was still ready for more!.
