Otis Family Garden

So this year we decided to plant a garden.  Our goals were 2 fold.  One reduce the amount of $ spent on stuff we end up wasting anyway and two, give the kids and us something to see and grow.  We had some hits and misses but for the most part the garden turned out good.  We planted string-less beans, carrots, green onions, yellow onions, cherry tomatoes, regular tomatoes, cucumbers, cantaloupe, pumpkin, lettuce, basil and cilantro.  The big misses were the pumpkin, cucumbers, and cantaloupe.  During the summer vacation we didn't have any water on the garden and it pretty much wilted away.  Corey was able to save a lot of it but those plants never did recover all that well.  The rest of the garden did quite well.  Corey usually goes out and picks stuff off the plants every night for his lunch the next day.  Below are some pictures.
